A whole-school wellbeing initiative
for people, relationships and lasting change.
EmpowerED is a voluntary, whole-school wellbeing initiative that begins at the heart of the system: educators. Through research, free initiatives and activities, our aim is to strengthen educator wellbeing and school relationships and provide support, helping create the conditions for entire school communities to thrive. Simply because wellbeing begins with people.

Whole-school
wellbeing
When educators feel supported, students thrive, schools grow stronger,
and communities flourish.
Listening to the Educators' Voice
Can a school truly thrive when the people within it are simply surviving?
EmpowerED began with a simple but essential question: what do educators themselves need in order to thrive?
Our ongoing research into wellbeing in education continues to grow as new responses are added. The findings so far point to a clear pattern: many educators are experiencing moderate to high levels of perceived stress, with workload, work–life balance and the growing needs of students emerging as significant sources of pressure.
Just as importantly, educators are telling us what would make a difference: more time, meaningful support, stronger connection with colleagues, and working conditions that genuinely sustain wellbeing.
This is the foundation of EmpowerED. We believe wellbeing is not an individual responsibility, but a shared condition, something shaped through relationships, communities and the wider educational ecosystem.

We listen. We respond.

It focuses on building everyday self-care practices, strengthening emotional intelligence, setting healthy boundaries, reconnecting with a sense of purpose, and developing transferable skills that can be brought directly into the classroom.
Targeted Workshops | Field Research
Experiential workshops for University students in teacher education programmes, designed to build early skills in self regulation, stress management and a growth mindset.
EmpowerED is a voluntary initiative dedicated to wellbeing across the whole school ecosystem, beginning at the heart of the system: educators. Through research and free initiatives, we support educator wellbeing, strengthen relationships and help build more supportive educational communities.
EmpowerED initiatives are designed for educators across different sectors and levels of education, pre-service teachers, school teams and wider educational communities. Each initiative is shaped around the needs of the people taking part.
Our work includes experiential workshops, EmpowerED Bootcamps, the four-week EmpowerED Beginnings programme, initiatives for future educators, field research, and collaborations with schools and educational organisations.
Depending on the initiative, sessions may take place online or in person. All of them are built around active participation, dialogue, experiential learning and practical application.
No. EmpowerED is a voluntary initiative and its activities are offered free of charge, with the aim of making wellbeing support and learning as accessible as possible across the educational community.
